hey guys and dolls, i have finally finished my kitchen. I ended up getting the program which made it a whole lot easier. I got version 9 and i had fun with it. I had to get familiar with the basics like working with selected polygons and points in terms changing the colours to dragging ect ect. I also learned how to change the surface area colours. For example if i wanted a wooden texture for the cupboard, I would have to first creat the object in modeler and saving the colour with a name, such as wood. I would then take the object into layout and go into surface editor where i would select the object then the colour i wanted to change then press the T button where i would select the texture i wanted. One thing i also learned from my mistakes about this, it that i cant just save it because the object returns to it original colour, so instead u have to save it as save all object increments.
Now in layout I made my surreal kitchen appear as if it was floating in the sky. See even though my kitchen looked lyk an ordinary kitchen, to me what made it surreal was the fact that it was flying in the sky with fans, because when i think of surreal, i think of dreams... hence clouds.
I had to get used to working with the different lights and thanks to stuarts space bar shortcut it made moving/sizing alot easier.
I would have to say though, trying to make the night scene was alot harder then the day.
